Our Name: Why "Wellsprings Church?"
King Solomon warned his sons in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
He also taught them that “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it” in Proverbs 16:22.
Jesus said to the woman at the well in John 4:14 that “whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty forever. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
Each person who trusts in Christ has this wellspring in them. We are each wellsprings of life! God is starting this church from the ground up: its source (God) flows up and out (to all). Therefore, the name of our church is Wellsprings Church.
